About Dr. Lizbeth Grado
Lizbeth Grado, MD, was born and raised in Mexico and moved to the United States when she was 12 years old. She graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, with a degree in Biochemistry. She completed medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, where she learned about barriers to health-care access. As a resident at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, she continued to focus on understanding these inequities by researching Latina patients and their access to urogynecology care in the Brooklyn region. She is pursuing a fellowship in urogynecology as this focuses on improving the quality of life of women with pelvic floor disorders and the ability to perform complex surgical procedures.
