Urinary incontinence is so prevalent that it could be considered a normal part of a woman’s life. It doesn’t mean, however, that it cannot be altered, no matter an individual’s age.
One of the biggest misconceptions about urinary incontinence is that it’s a condition prevalent solely among older individuals. In fact, studies show there is a strong association between the physical stresses incurred during sport participation and incontinence. Additionally, one third of all postpartum women experience urinary stress incontinence.
