Nurse Practitioner Cary Oaster, DNP, WHNP-BC
“I love presenting options with risks and benefits and helping the patient decide which avenue is best for them. Medicine is not a one size fits all.”
About Cary Oaster
Cary Oaster holds a doctorate of nursing practice and a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis on women’s health from Vanderbilt University. She is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner and has worked in a number of medical fields related to urogynecology, including urology and gynecology. Her interest in female pelvic medicine, as well as her training in pelvic floor and incontinence therapies, drew her to the urogynecology speciality.
Cary prides herself on being an efficient nurse practitioner and an advocate for female pelvic health education. She understands that medicine is not a “one size fits all” field and that personalized care is essential to achieving the best long-term results. Her approach to care is also very team centric. She believes that patients should understand the risks and benefits of any treatment and work with their providers to make decisions.
Cary’s favorite part of her job is interacting with patients and helping them make decisions about their treatment options. In her free time, Cary likes to read, bike and spend time with her dogs and husband.
